Tonight's GTR race?

Where is it tonight? I don't think there was an "official" Barcelona last week (certainly didn't see results posted up) so I assume we are racing there?

Been practicing a bit - much more consistent now even if not much faster, but I might make the one hour race without crashing out!

Barcelona is indeed on tonight, thats what I have read anyway.

I'm getting hold of this today hopefully, will obviously need some practice but are there regular non-league games with the folks on here?

Yep, sticking with the NGTs. I've been practicing online a bit which sort of forces you into a GT car since that's what everyone else races. As such, much of my practicing has been in a lister, not sure if that's going to be a help or a hindrance!


Steve - there are non-league races, not that i've ever been available to join one

Steve, get some practice in today if you can on Barcelona. Then get yourself online later with us in the league race. You will be fine i'm sure.

Make sure you get a decent grippy car, an NGT like a Ferrari 360 or something similar, or even use the Elise if you want a car that is really hard to crash. Get the laps in and join us tonight, everyone is welcome. The race lasts an hour and people do retire from it so you may be able to get a good placing, just stick at it!

The only thing I would do well in advance is register with the online lobby in the game, and make sure you can get online ok. Also make sure you have got a little card in the box with an online serial number, you will need this to access the online lobby. This can be a bit of a pain to sort out and is quite a buggy system, but once you are sorted you will be ok.

The league we race is fun, there are no idiots who want to smash into you by driving round the wrong way, and we (try to) drive fair. You will be much better off joining our league later as the public servers are only full of race wreckers. You won't get many practice laps in if there are fools around online.

Ok, cheers for the tips, hopefully it will come through the post today and I can get my old driving force wheel hooked up and some practice runs in. I take it the original driving force wheel will work fine with the relevant drivers.

Who has the fasted upstream bandwidth - they can host if the worst comes to the worst... I'm 256k, but someone will have to tell me how to host a game.

Well, don't know about anyone else, but i'm well pissed off with that.

Waited all week for this, bribed off the G/F by recording her favourite stuff on Sky+ and opening a bottle of wine for her, practiced barcelona last week, looked forward to a race all week end and then......

all. No server.

I know what you mean. I tried to email Sammie again but I don't this the email went. I tested the email to verify and the host couldn't be found, maybe it's down or something.

If his email is [e-mail] then it probably wont work - no MX records which basically means he probably wont get mail.
