Are PSPs multi region?

Getting a PSP sent over from the States and just wondered if anyone knew if they'll run games from anywhere.

I have a PSP and can confirm the above - games from the US and Japan work fine on my (Japanese) PSP, but movies are region-coded like their DVD counterparts.

If you already have DVDs, however, your best bet is to buy a 1gb memory stick and rip your DVDs onto the stick - better than buying UMDs which you can't watch on any other device.
