Bloody ell FWD, that is an impressive collection.

I wouldn't mind a blast around Donington in Elise's?? Or some other tight track with a car like the Elise??

Could you do something for me. There are lots of new cars and track sets I would like to add to my collection as I only have the standard GTR ones. How do you install new tracks and cars into GTR?

Could you just write me a quick idiots guide to doing this??

Many thanks!!

P.S re race tonight. Will it be on the PH server or will it have to be a hosted game? Could we make it at 8.30ish. My gf is coming round later but I would like a race before she gets here.

Most tracks are packed using WinRAR, some still use WinZIP though. If you get a RAR file and open it, if the top folder is called Gamedata just extract it to the C:GTR folder, it'll do the rest.

If not extract cars to C:GTR-Gamedata-teams then the correct class for that car eg. installing a new Saleen would go into C:GTR-Gamedata-teams-GT-Saleen

Tracks just unpack them into the c:GTR-Gamedata-locations folder.

Easy

FWD, another quick thicko question here.

If we add a new car to the set that doesn't currently have a directory title, such as the Maserati. Do we need to create a new directory in the GT folder called Maserati or will the extractor software do this for us??

Also, where do I get WinRar from??

Thanks again.

The Maserati MC12 installation will create it.

If you want to install all the new 2005 cars don't do it the way it say's in the readme - look for the thread on here about them. I have a better, safer and easier way all typed out.

WinRAR - www.download.com/3000-2250-10007677.html

However I have one final question. If I donwload the Aussie V8's, what name do you give to the directory these will go in and are they GT or NGT?? Thanks again, sorry for being thick!!

Already in the game. Porsche GT3 Cup.

PS Can someone give me the car numbers of the standard GTR inlcuded cars. I have loads more and have no idea which one to chose (if I choose one of the add-ons it might not appear properly on your screens)

FWD, cup 300 has numbers 110 111 113 and 117 in 911 GT3's.

Just another question for you? Do I already have the 2005 car set as I got the uk version of the game in April/May? I don't have the Masser but is everything else 2005??

Thanks.

FWD, sorry to hijack a thread here but I have just downloaded the Aussie V8 car set and some fixes. However my cockpit view now sits too close. I am literally on top of the wheel and cannot see the display.

Is there something I need to do to sort this out??

Thanks.

Do you know how to move your seating position forwards/back and height up/down using the mouse and the buttons?

Left MB and forward/back does one thing
Right MB and forward/back does the other

Aussie V8's are very good, they have some very good AI so excellent offline racing too.

So far Philip Island, Wanneroo and Sandown V8 tracks out more to come.
