Has anybody got their PSP to do anything cool...?
Discussion
To be honest - I've hardly used mine. I'm a sucker for a new gadget, talk myself into needing it and once I have it get bored within a week. Have used it only a few times for Video on the train and the odd bit of music and only have one game. I think I'll use it more when the UK one comes out and Games are more readily available. Also, it would be cool if there was a site where you can download movies/video already compressed and in the right format as it is a royal pain in the backside to compress/encode all the time......
I'm sure that there is a hidden web browser in the Wipeout game, but involves a lot of messing about that I cant be arsed with. I expect that soon it'll start getting useful with loads of new add on's.
have a look at www.psp411.com/PSP_Web_Browser.html for extra info, etc...

No, but waiting on Sony to get back to me through work for a few things so maybe I'll be able to soon.
If you manage to get hold of a 1.00 firmware version you can get it to do stuff easily, however these are now on the market at twice the price of a normal unit.
Anything else takes a LOT of fiddling - taking it to pieces, getting the ol' soldering iron out, etc.
I'm on the train for about 3 hours a day, so mine gets a lot of use. It's replaced my iPod and I put a couple of programmes / music vids from work on there to watch if I get really stuck on any of the games I quite like it.
Looking forward to the next GTA game on it and getting GT4 - hopefully they'll make it hook into the PS2 version of the game too so I can transfer my cars and games around through the USB cable, etc.

GTA and GT4 would be great - just the cynic in me thinks that it wont be until the new year that they come out - with many delays etc..
Also heard that Football Manager 2006 is being developed for the PSP as well. That is addictive enough on the PC let alone being able to play on the train as well. It'll be interesting to see what level of depth they can use for the PSP though.

Well, my first PSP is looking a little shabby now. Dead pixels, missing joystick (things just pop off) and the UMD lid doesn't really line up anymore.
I stil haven't gotten around to running the NES (nintendo) games on it yet but will do it this week as I have a bit of time.
As mentioned in other threads, I mainly use it for the footy games, the music and watching simpsons and music videos. Got a couple of 1gb sticks now so it is much less fussy.
