GTR league Race tonight - Estoril

As usual the server will start to host at 9pm (so 9:05pm log on)

20 minutes qualifying and 1 hour race. Please be prompt so we don't have to wait too long before starting.

From the results of the last race weight penalties will be as follows

50kg - Fourwheeldrift
35kg - Andy
20kg - Pvapour

2 complusory pitstops for GT's and 1 for NGT's as usual.

IP will be on here nearer 9pm.

When it asks us to login for direct IP I put in my username and password and says its invalid.

Do I need to register for direct IP as well as internet? My internet works ok.

should be ok, just give it another try, the password bit is sometimes a bit dodgy, and you do need to be registered for direct i.p

Me and James left after a couple of laps - that probably improved the connection for the others... It was impossible to drive near another car without getting taken out

where you go PV? I was enjoying our little race and though we didn't pass on the track much it was still quite exciting

Well words cannot say how incredibly annoyed I am with this game.

Ten mins from the end in a Ferrari NGT and my bloomin screen just goes black!!!!!! I was running 3rd too in my first race!!!!!

Bloomin useless game!!!

Apart from that, fun!

With our connection it seems 7 drivers is the limit.

We need options for the next race if more than 7 turn up, the only option is to drop the slowest qualifiers (difficult to judhe with GT & NGT's in the race, one of each, 2 of each etc...), harsh but other than spending loads of time on 2 short races (up to 7different drivers in each race) best 3 from each to go into a final longer race (6 drivers).

Any other ideas.

Oh, race result. Looks like I'll be carrying 2 passengers next time. (100kg !)

What happened could be any of 3 things.

1) your internet connection, since we could all get in, we saw that you joined briefly then disappeared.

2) Did Mike have limited players on, limited to 9?

3) Mike had his joining set to garage only (AFAIK) so if he was out on track you wouldn't be able to join until he was back in the pits, to avoid the 2sec hosters screen freeze when someone joins.

totaly understand Diver, you make time for the race, look forward to it, patient with it and you still dont get a race sry dude......

I must admit though, for me GTR is getting a bit F1, ie booring, with hour long races, pit stops, breakages and poor connections there does'nt seem to be enough head too head racing action

I'm giving it a chance but it's not looking good for me chaps, I think short sprint races would be more fun as far as I'm concerened, not for everyone I know but sadly my low boredome threshold comes into play.

better luk next time Diver, sry to see you go shortly into race James, what happened?
