Anyone played Half Life 2 ?

Im trying to play the damn game but the CD Key is not recognised !!
checked the forums and there seems to be massive technical errors with this game / software .
Anyone else having the Cd Key problem.

Ive checked im entering the key correctly and it still wont accept the key !
What a Pain!

I got HL2 online, so I'm not sure on the procedures for installing the game from a CD. But I guess you have a steam account? If so, and you have broadband you could try:

- uninstalling any bits of HL2 you have installed
- uninstall steam
- download and install steam again.
- login with your steam account.
- download HL2 + any other bits (counterstrike source etc)

I've found that the steam website has a lot of info for problems such as you have. There's an FAQ/support thing which covers a lot of issues - it may be a case of just going through them all looking for something that matches your problem. Failing that, post a question on the forums there.

They are miss printing the letter 'i' with the Number '1' !!!!
