good tv's for xbox???

Hi,had my 29 inch Sony Trinitron for 7 years,great tv,fantastic picture just like the day i bought it,but,i have an Xbox and my friend has a Playstation 2.His TV is smaller,older and generally not as high spec as what the Sony was at the time,yet Need for speed underground on his looks perfect,i.e along the boot of the car is absolutely straight whereas on mine the outline of the car is very slightly blocky?The graphics are generally not as defined!I've heard not to use Plasma tv's amongst others as there can be issues with images from games consoles being burned permanently onto the screen,so,what tv's can any of you recommend around a 30 inch size that you are having good results with?Im not a great fan of widescreen tv's incidentally,any help appreciated,ta!
Its most likely because your TV is bigger you notice it more.
Consoles are low resolution, so the pixels (blocks) are relatively large. Combine that with a big TV and you can really notice it, especially if the TV has a good sharp image normally.
You could try using a decent scart cable to connect the console to the TV if you don't already, but that generally makes the image sharper and you might find it makes this particular problem worse.
