Kill the wife and play the game!

It's better than PGR2 I think. But then I played PGR2 a LOT. And it's about 2,000,000 x more fun than GT4. (Not saying it's more realistic....but the game play is better and cars dont all understeer...).

Starts off reasonably easy. I took the Audi TT and started at the front of the grids. Using the cars I won with no mods for other races I was starting further back so had to really drive properly to win. Now ok I could have tuned the cars (and eventually I did), but I find it's nore fun to be "in the pack" than charging off in a cloud of dust...

Anyway play the game...go on...you know you want to....if you go home early she'll be out....you can put it back before she gets home....

Oversteer on demand! and even when you don't want it
I chose the corado and ended up smashing into the wall every time i put the brakes on. It wouldn't steer, it wouldn't brake. I know front wheel drive cars are difficult like that but it was bl**dy stupid. So i changed it for a mini
It's very addictive. The sounds seem a bit muted to me but it was late last night that i played it.
it looks promising enough to waste a whole weekend leaving you knackered and depressed in that " where did my weekend go?" kind of way.
the graphics are ok but not a patch on gt4 although the gameplay makes up for it.
the AI seems better than GT4, maybe too much so as i was constantly being shunted across the track by other cars.

As far as the engine noise being muted... Try throwing on a modified induction/exhaust system... You'll begin to hear the difference!

I bought GT4 whan it was first out and have enjoyed playing that. BUT I have just got my hands on Forza last week and also got the Live kit at the same time.

Good god, Forza is soo much more fun than GT4. The graphics are great and the online gameplay makes it even better. I "was" always a great fan of Gt1,2,3,4 but know until GT5 comes out i will be playing Forza allot more

Right i love this game so much that i feel it desrves a second post. yes even after my dissapointment of the promo.

The gameplay is fantastic!, litterally.
I love the engine noises now that i have some decent cars. I could quite happily spend a few minutes just listening to the different wheezes and whistles of the turbos and superchargers. Also when you hear a Ferrari comming you don't even have to look. The distinct and fierce noise of the v12 from a few hundred yards behind you makes you shift up a gear or two.

It's a nervewrecking but awesome experience when you round a bend to see a collision happening infront of you with cars and bodywork still in midair.

I have all the aids turned off apart from racing in auto and without adjust ing the diff properly youd be lucky not to burn through a set of tyres.

Actually i have to admit that i'm finding it quite hard to win any races now whist being so evenly matched with your opponents. You realy have to learn each bend if you want to make headway.

I havn't even loaded the drivertron thing as there is now way i'm going to ruin this game by cheating. Anyway, i enjoy racing the courses so much that i don't mind doing it over and over. All except for Silverston!. I can never see where i'm going.

I love the different classes of vehicle and the stages of each class.

GT4 was good but so dissapointing because it lacked any realism in the AI. The AI in Forza is 70% better imo.
If the graphics were as good as gt4 this game would get an 11 out of 10 for me, as it is i think 9 out of 10 with gt4 being 6.5/7 ish!

has anyone actually won the classics races yet?. Got to admit i'm having some problems lol.
OHHH!, nearly forgot!
I realy love the way you can transplant different engines into some cars. Won't say which though.
Look forward to hearing some of your views on this game as i think it's a winner.

I really like it, although I haven't got that far through yet, and the sounds are much better than PGR. My Dodge Challenger with full house motor/gearbox/diff sounds fantastic. It whines like a bitch when you're flat out.

I am only about 13% the way throw. I have just bought myself a SLk Merc thing and have found the only downer on Froza is that their is loads of Yanks online who curse alot. And also so many people have highly tuned Enzo's etc you cannot keep up. But thants only minor things and the game is great

The game itself is great but I was really looking forward to customizing my car with the PH logo. Trying to make a logo is almost impossible as they don't let you use text, you have to do it using layers which is a pain in the arse as the logo is specific to the car so you have to do it all over again with each car.

Anyone have any tips or know of any tutorials for customising the look of your car?

I'm about 28 % in career mode. I drive with abs on, suggested line on, and on medium difficulty. Th ekey to winning often is ho wyou tune your car, it can giv eyou just that edge over the others.

Not bothered to try anything myself but I think you can achieve quite a lot if these are anything to go by! http://tabwin.com/forza.htm

finaly had a go on my copy of Forza last night (only a couple of hours) and so far its pretty impresive....and its easily the best implimentaion of the "optimal racing line"...superb the way the red braking portion fades out ad you need to coem off the brakes...

Yep, saw this site. Amazing talent considering the limited interface. All I want to do is make a decal of the PH smilie and logo to put on all my cars, but you have to do it for each individual car and not have a standard user defined decal. Big mistake I think.

I posted about it before somewhere in here just after i bought it. I said it was a great game however it wasn't until i was using cars with serious power that i realised how great a game it is.

Far far more fun than GT4 which i also have and have gotten 50% through.

I am at about 40% through forza. However i've not done a single race online as i want to perfect my skills so i don't get my arse kicked.

The only thing i think forza could do with is more tracks!!!

I love the custom paint/ graphics feature. I've spent several hours creating works of art. I am no graphic designer so they look sh1t but it was fun.

Which is the biggest problem with it!!

Lobbies are set up (mostly) so that you're able to pick any car in a given class, except that there is a HUGE performance deficit between the cars, so unless everyone is totally switched on as regards car choice, the racing won't be anything like close.

Secondly, sometimes you won't be able to get into a friend's lobby because you don't own a car in the right class. Which wouldn't be so bad if it actually told you what class they were racing so you could go & buy the right car. This is compounded by the fact that you can't actually send a message to anyone unless it's attached to an invite!

Thirdly, you can't modify your car once you're in the lobby, so if the class is already set, but everyone is using modified versions, & you don't own a modified version in the right class, you're gonna get your butt kicked.

Sorry, but the way online racing has been set-up in this game absolutely sucks.

Roll on TOCA 3!!!
