www.racemore.com/more/

Click the Read More bit for details. I have 1mb Broadband here with 2 PC's (Desktop & Laptop) I can install GTR on the laptop and run the dedicated server for hosted races**, unless someone with a faster connection and 2 PC's can do the same. I like option 3 below a lot as qualifying can be set to 20mins, just what we need

Details on the dedicated server,

1. It does not require the game CD to be inserted before running.

2. It does not require a Direct3D compatible video card to run.

3. It includes extended options to enable practice/qualifying/warmup sessions to be configured (i.e. enabled/disabled and to specify their length in minutes).

4. It supports a +auto command line option, which will start the server in immediate hosting mode, using the last settings configured. N.B. When used in this mode, and live reporting is enabled, the server will still prompt for FTP details. You can automate this step by including a text file in the GTR directory called "GTR_Reporter.exe.FTP" - a sample is included with this update.

** Edited to add - No I can't my laptop only has 256mb of RAM, GTR needs min 384 to run. Bugger.

case sensetive isn't it?

Anyway I'm pretty sure you don't need to log in to download that or read it....or use the dedicated server

Have you received an email from them, you need to click on the link in the email to activate the account.

yeah i got an email, but there is no link for me to click
when i click register and it loads up GTR it says username already used or whatever. fair enough i will add another username.i try that and when i click register comes up with the excuse of serial key wrong, when its not(ive made sure over and over, case sensitive everything!)
i try and start afresh but i cant because "email adress already on database!)its a bloody nightmare!

Must be thinking of something else. I haven't got a link either.

Something's up though, I know the email doesn't like uppercase letters.

Standing starts can be set up now on the dedicated server system, so no more AI controlled rolling starts with player control on the green flag.

By:-

Set 'MULTI Formation Lap="1" to 0 and skip pacelap="1" to 0 too, and you will have a standing start. No AI control.
