Is it possible to remove modifications from a car (for example, engine mods) once you have bought them?

I have one modification to a car that is ruling it out of a race series that demands only unmodified vehicles.

Its basically the parts of the engine that are modifed which can not be removed. (All other parts are additional bolt ons).

For example, engine (crank) balancing, port polishing etc.
Not go the game in front of me for the exact wording but think it works along those lines and seems to make sense.

if you go to the modification page, then other (i think) there is an option called something like return car to original spec but it costs around 30000Cr. (maybe i just dreamed this up, and am probably wrong).

if you go to a race that you can enter (not the one you want to enter), then go to settings (or is it options), then you can change the modifications on it. alhto i dont think you can remove all of them.

i really hate being at uni sometimes cos it means that i miss out on my PS2.

Think you'll find that the unmodified vehicles tag only rules out race cars, concept cars and certain road cars, you can still take a normal vehicle and modify it and it will still be eligible for the unmodified vehicle races, examples of cars that aren't allowed are:

Tommy Kaira ZZII (don't ask me why, it just is)
Cadillac Cien

However, on the supercar race for example, where it states unmodified vehicles only you are quite free to buy a pagani zonda, Saleen S7 or Ford GT etc and tune it up to a ridiculous level and still enter it, you have to stick with sports tyres though..

You've got it in one: I wanted to use my Cadillac Cien in the Supercar Race.

Only because my (standard) Zonda keeps getting beaten into 2nd place ..... by a Cien.

I might have to try tuning the Zonda.

There is a certain car thats supurb for that.

I'll give you a clue.
- Its predecessor was built to pee off some Italians.
- Its predecessor won Le Mans.

another top tip is to not enter a race if the Cien or tommy whatty knot ii is in it.
Just abandon race and restart. Will get a different line up.

I used the top of the range Zonda and it was ok using the above tip.

In GT3 you went to the garage and could alter your mods. So if, for example, you had bought Stage 1, 2, 3 and 4 turbos you can choose which one is currently on the car. You don't need to sell them to remove them.

Is GT4 not the same then? (I haven't bought GT4 yet - too busy on other projects to spend large amounts of time playing it, so safer not to buy it. )
