Show us what you've got.

How fast can you do one lap of the Ring in the BMW M3 GTR racing car? No modifications other than the tyres of your choice. I know it's not the quickest, but I'll get the ball rolling:

6:43.1

Have at it...

I managed a 6:40.something

Got some studying to do just now but I might have another bash later.

What a great car, handles like a dream.

I got excited when I found the time I'd done - 6:08. But then I remembered that I'd tweaked it a little! If I can get it back to standard, I'll have a go.

Just done a 6'24.341

No modifications but I did change the oil and the set-up. I softened the front suspension slightly.

Is this allowed?

how you set the GTR up is up to you. When I get home, l'll have a bash - At GT4 that is !!

Have been racing a T350 TVR around the ring. fully tuned and tweaked with about 500bhp and I can do 6.45.

whats the BHP of the M3 GTR ?

M3 GTR = 374bhp
M3 GTR Race car = 443bhp

That's from the list of cars in the Amercian Version. not sure I've noticed two GTR's myself...

btw, I saw the actual M3 GTR at GFOS. Absoultely awesome machine!

There are two, a road going one and the race car.

After oil change mine had about 470bhp.

M3 GTR Race times as follow.

Completely Standard out of the box - 6.35.56

with Turbo 6.05.00

If you are doin 6.20 you must have the stage 4 turbo, as there is no way the bog std version will get that time.

You'd like to think that. Bog standard M3 GTR Racing Car no modifications, not even any suspension chnages.

Straight out the crate.

Nice time, I do like a challenge.

Unfortunately I can't compete at the moment as I'm b-speccing an endurance race. Trying to get to 100%, think i'm on 98.8% at the moment.

I can believe the spec GTR will go 15 seconds quicker, as there are bits of the track I still don't know properly. That said, 6:20 is a very impressive time. Trust that was without nitrous?

Been mostly concentrating on getting my chavved Nismo 270R round there recently - 6:42 best to far, but there's loads more in there. Marvellous track though...every time you think you've got it figured out, you try something else and knock lumps out of your time.

Right, managed a 6'19.9. Going to go and beat it and post a pic to show the doubters.

No performance upgrades. Oil changed and suspension tweaked slightly so car handles the way I like it.

Had a go with the standard GTR road car last night - horrible understeering pile of crap, no turn in and snap oversteer. I'm way quicker in the standard M3 despite the power disparity.
So presumably you guys have won the race car via GT and are using your garage from arcade mode - if so how does one go about winning the GTR racer?

European hall: Schwarzwald Liga A

I've been doing the times in GT mode so I can change some of the settings. Make sure you have super softs on.
