But have never bought the sony memort sticks before.

Does anyone have a good place to buy them from??

I bought mine on Ebay from a supplier in Hong Kong - I got a 512Mb Sony Memory Stick Pro Duo for £41 inc delivery with no import tax. I think you wont find one for less than £48 in the uk and that would probably be a Sansdisk one which should also work fine. Bear in mind that its a Memory stick Pro Duo which is the smaller one.

With regards to your camera one, if its a Memory Stick card and is a Pro Duo then it should be fine. There is a function on the PSP to format the card for use. You will then have to do a bit of fiddling around on the PC to get it to save Movies as you will need to create new folders with specific names.

Hope this helps.

I don't have a sony digital camera, so the Memory stick Pro Duo would be best for the PSP.
OK
I shall start looking.

cheers for that Fox, So from looking at the scan website the best to go for when using it on the PSP is the Memory Stick DUO Pro,rather than the Memory Stick Pro. 1Gig for £88 for either. Should get a few songs and pics on that

Only get the Duo cards.
The standard Pro cards will NOT fit.

There are two versions of the Sony Memory Stick Duo - one is high-speed, the other isn't. The high-speed one is almost twice as fast at moving large amounts of data, and the price reflects it.

As long as it's DUO it'll work with the PSP - as above the PRO version offers an increased transfer rate but I can't tell if the PSP will take advantage of that anyway.

And the manual is suitably vague in the area of taking advantage of the PRO data transfer speed.

Have fun.

Possibly the PSP won't take advantage of the extra speed - however my Mac certainly does. A 500mb movie took 37 seconds to copy onto the new stick.

Unfortunately I couldn't compare that to the supplied 32mb stick as it wouldn't fit, however a 32mb movie took 10 seconds to copy on the standard stick and 5 seconds on the new stick.

Happy customer, no other link. And no need to worry about import duty.

512Mb, 45 quid.
