Allways give something back

So i thought i would give you guys a heads up.
Just went into Game in Bromley high st and the guy gave me a playable demo of Forza motorsports for putting my name on a list. No obligation, no fees, no phonecalls just to reserve a copy. When they come you will get a call asking if you still want it. Et voila i now have 10n playable cars and 1 trac ( laguna sec? ) apparently.

What to say, well firstly i found myself struggling about what to write because i only played it for 20 minutes untill i got bored.
That's not to say the finished product will be boring!
Just that i thought it was more of the same, nothing new, no inovation, nothing to excite me. Truth is i played a demo of PGR2 on the same disk for the rest of the evening, which says a lot realy.
First thing i noticed was the difference in graphics compared to GT4. If you were expecting the same near photgraphic quality then you'll be disapointed. It's more like the Tocca series. As are the engine sounds, although not as good.
The hub was still in kph which annoyed me although there did appear to be different hubs for different vehicles.
There was no rearview mirror and pressing the button to look behind suprised me as it made the cars behind look small and distorted.
I didn't get a chance to play with the ai. Although i did get shunted up the rear and spun around by unfriendly drivers more than once. This impressed me to such a degree that i developed consul rage and chased the offending car to ram it. Good job too as this is how i found the limitations of the damadge modeling.
Well it's not damage, more swapping paint. Ram another car or barrier and you will scratch up your paintwork. ram it some more and your windscreens will shatter. More, and spoilers and other extremities are flung off the vehicle to litter the track. Infact i spent the next 10 minutes persuing high speed collisions of all nature just to see how much damage i could do. I ended up with a crumpled wreck full of flapping pannels and dents that still did 200kph!. Obviously damage doesn't affect performance that much.
The track seemed alright although not rendered to the same quality as GT4.
I liked the fact that you can see the driver wearing his helmet through the windscreen .
bored now!, I did get the impression i was playing a very small part of the game and that it wasn't totally finished. Good job too as i wasn't overly impressed.
