tried installing GPL for the first time since ive gone over to winxP.....but the installer stops saying "cant install MS-Dos applications" or words to that effect

the GPL (with all patches inc) demo off Blackhole Motorsports installs and works fine tho

anyideas?

oh and anyone got a Track-IR headset and tried it for GPL and GTR? where did you get from in the UK?

You will need to install a dos emulator to give XP some form of Dos functionality.

I installed GPL to an XP Home equipped PC. No problems at all. Maybe you have something running blocking it (Antivirus type programs maybe)?

'Kay, ill try it with norton firewall and anti-virus switched off....woudnt have thought of that

PS. Found this.

3- Message: "C:WINDOWSSYSTEM32AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose Close to terminate the application."
-You might have one of the following files corrupted or missing due to a Windows upgrade. Autoexec.nt - Config.nt - Command.com
