So, now GT4 is "old hat", what would you put in GT5?

Me - damage (that you could turn on and off), weather, better sounding engines.

More tracks. Preferably some UK ones.

Oh, and maybe an end to the obsession with jap cars. Where's noble, mclaren, ferrari, porsche?

Definately weather that varies as you go round the bigger tracks.. i do like a wet race now and then....

Car damage that affects the handling - and could actually put you out the race if you hit the armco too hard

More beefy/bassy engine notes.. at the moment they aren't a big enough part of the game.

An option to import new models off a USB stick from a PC download (GT world could release new models now and then)

Edit : Also add AI that dont take the same line every lap and respond agressively if you go up the back of them At the moment if you knock one of them you cant spin them out or anything...

Apart from that its fine

Better lighting, at the moment some cars with dark sides are still to dark even when they are in the sunshine. More importantly better lighting in the night and evening races, proper headlamps that illuminate the road instead of just having a reflection in the tarmac.

Better AI that does not ram you up the arse but go around you if you happen to spin on the racing line

Well Mclaren are already in there with the only 2 cars of note from themselves in recent years (Formula 1 cars aside), the SLR and the F1, you're obviously not looking hard enough for them, yeah Porsche and Ferrari etc would be nice but it's not as if they're excluded through choice, they are just w*nkers when it comes to giving out licences.

For GT5 I'd like to see a clutch included, as that was one of those things that was supposed to be in the series by now, obviously they'd have to bring out yet another wheel for that.

And the drifting competitions which Yamauchi promised for GT4 would be nice too.

More cars in races. I get bored of only racing against 5 other competitors. Of course this would have to go hand in hand with better AI. Can't understand why they haven't managed it yet, but hey ho. I assume GT5 will be on the PS3, so hopefully they'll have a better piece of hardware to play with.

AND PLEASE SORT THE SOUND OUT!

I'd put a version of GTR in it so you could all see what real physics are like

That was on GT1, it really sucked - if you knocked a barrier with your right front it would try and turn right for the rest of the race, if I want realism I'll play GPL.

The sound really needs sorting out, some of them aren't too bad when you look behind in-car, most are plain awful (especially the Integra which sounds like a strimmer).

Better AI

More cars in a race

More real racing circuits

1.Get Rid of the B-Spec mode! and Allow SAVE when pitting.
2. Two player replay mode that you can watch full screen as well as split screen like GT A-Spec. Not just split screen.
3. Make a Racing Seat that moves side to side, forwards and backwards Hydrolically that offers the choice of Paddle Shift and also Comes with a real gearstick. (355 CHALLENGE ARCADE MACHINE E.G)
4. Get rid of some of the small Japanese compact rubish and get rid of things like that Patent Wagon with 1hp and have Hot Hatches as the entry level
and get Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini, Venturi, McLaren F1 road car, Koeninseeg, Buggatti (EB110, Verion) etc To stop being such tight ar**s and get on board.
5. Weather
6. Flags
7. Damage
8. Have the option like in Arcade Mode to Adjust A.I. Difficulty in Gran Turismo Mode.

IIRC Ferrari, Porsche, and Lambo are all licensed to Xbox games, thus none of them on PS2 games.

1. Online multiplayer mode - it desperately needs it!
2. Proper car physics
3. Proper penalty for going off the track

Anyone else noticed in prologue you had a time penalty when you hit other cars/barriers and it restricted you to 50mph or something...

That is still active in GT4 but only on certain races, the ones in the driving missions bit and the special conditions races, not too sure why it's not in the other races though.

same as on the "special conditions" races on GT4.

Changes I would Introduce...

1) Being able to re-spray cars (annoying when you buy a used car/win a car that you would LOVE to be in a different colour.)
2) different sponsors paintjobs available, so there isn't 250 different skyline/NSX/Supras that are essentially the same car.
3) Rewind Replays... doing a photo drive it's a pain to have to restart
4) less bias towards Jap cars, there are some right sheds out there.
5)Real time lighting... Le Mans doesn't get daylight for 24hrs on end...
