I'm assuming a Nissan 200SX or an RX7 is a good way to go.

Anybody got a car that is easy and fun to hold sideways? Which setups/circuits are best for drifting?

Can anything beat the wet handling circuit license test with the yellow Corvette in GT3?

You can drift anything fairly easily in GT4, the usual suspects are a good start, AE86, 200sx, RX7 etc. pick up all three sets of normal tyres (they are all free) and put them on the car, generally the more power the car puts out, the higher spec tyres you will need, so for the AE86 use the economy tyres, something like a BMW M5 will need at least the highest spec Normal tyres or maybe some hard Sports tyres, you'll probably need to try a few different types out before you find the ideal ones (an LSD will help too) you'll also find it a lot easier with a wheel and pedals.

Traction off, stability killing understeer but allowing a slide and play about with suspension geometry at the back. I also like to add a wing and have full front downforce and no rear downforce.

adds to the fun.......

I like the 200SX but something 4wd like a skyline can also be fun as you can tweak the diff and the 4wd lets you save some absurd slide angles.

Spot on. The best from GT3 where the RX-7 and 200zx. I also found the 300zx (Sylvia) and the Grifith good.

So far, I've found the following nicely adjustable in GT4:

NISMO GTR LM road going version '95
Ford GT LM race car
BMW 2002 Turbo

But I haven't had time for proper drifting sessions, those are just the cars that I've found I could 'catch' easily.

Get over to www.gtplanet.net for lots of info regarding drifting settings and circuits

I've won an silver Rx7 with a wing on the back - i think its an option one - not too sure. But this thing is spot on for drifting straight out the box...

Other than that, again its the AE86, I also have MK3 Supra TT (reliving the old days) - although thats a bit too much of a heffer for extended drifting.

Found the test courses the best for drifting sessions

Monaro, mild tune with sports exhaust and chip, no aids, economy tyres... power oversteer on demand.

350z is also the same, dont tune to high or you loose some of the throttle adjustability.

I like the Caterham Fireblade - once you break traction, it just spins for miles. You have to let the revs drop really low for it to stop!!
