Just wondering what you lads had down as your favourite track machines in GT4, that are unmodified ?

Mine has to be :

80's Ruf CTR 911 (in yellow or sky blue)
BMW M5 (in black or red)

I love both of these as standard - great fun with all the safety's off

Best standard car I've found is the NSX-R. And with racing mediums, it drives brilliantly.

The '71 Datsun/Nissan thingy I won doing one of the Nissan races is great. It just seems to spin one wheel all the time!

Lets see....

TVR Cerbera Speed Six: Goes like stink and handles very well, and has bags of grip.

TVR Griffith: See above, but remove straight 6 howl and add V8 growl.

Maclaren Mercedes-Benz SLR: Very very very fast. Great handling. Huge grip. Just a pity that they didn't get the engine sound right

Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI GSR: Two words: power drift.

Favourite cars at the moment are Ford GT LM edition 2004, all the aids off, great to wrestle with round a circuit.

And the Shin-Shigeno (think that's right) version of the Toyota Corolla, so easy to get it into a drift (with the economy tyres on) and hold it there.

I'm definitely a big fan of the classic sportscars. The Alfa Giulia GTA is probably my outright favourite, although I haven't been out yet in the E-Type I just won so it could be a close call. Basically anything with a little bit of grunt and skinny tyres is a blast.

Also like the road-going Merc 190E for nostalgic reasons, although I wish I could paint it silver-blue and take that wing off!

It is the AE86 actually, you can find it in the late nineties used car bit, has a black bonnet and is based on the car from the Initial D manga series, not sure if they ever made a real one but it has about 210bhp.

Haven't tried a Spyker yet

It was shite on GT3 concept... so I've not bought one yet.

there are more cars for "fun" on my list.

The IS300 wagon was always a laugh on Concept. might buy one.

Same here, best car to drive in the game. Not necessarily the fastest but definitely the most satisfying.

I find that mediums on teh front and hard on the rear makes it that little more manageable with the throttle on the exit of a corner.

The Spyker is pretty good actually. Mine's fully tuned, except for the semi-racing exhaust (prefer the noise), kicks out about 680bhp, and sounds great. Looks well with a big silver wing on the back and BBS LM wheels.
