Just heard about the Black Special Ed. Cars - and wondered what the best way of making money is (since they are 9 million for the lot)

I'm a bit low on funds now since I've bought loads of TVRs

You can make 275K in less than 10 minutes.

Capri rally, special conditions, easy.

2 laps forward, 2 backward.

Its a great track too.

start buying on the 694th day, every time you buy a car, it moves on one day, so if you wait till 700, you'll only get 1

Best way to make money is to buy an ABT Audi TT touring car, slap a stage 4 turbo in it and then b-spec the Deutsche touring car masterthingy it takes about 20 mins (if you speed each race up) to do the whole series (and if your driver is a bit poo he might need to do it a couple of times before he can win it consistently) you get 15,000 per win and a Mercedes CLK GTR racing car when you win the series which you can then sell for about 740,000 credits, rinse and repeat and before you know it you can afford all the Black cars and as many TVR's as you like.

Yeah they are 'special' black versions of certain cars, can't remember off by heart the exact cars, I know the Toyota GT-One is there.. They are 9million credits for the lot.

Don't think they are enhanced - just black
Haha, anyway, good for the novelty value

Dave.

The Black cars are found either in the Early 90's gallery or Late 90's gallery, they're down on power from the win-able race cars, but I still won the Original Le Mans 24hrs in my black 787B - was 2 laps ahead of the pukka 787 at the flag...I found the Enduro races the best money spinner, just B-spec the races before going to work, and come back to a new car and at least 500,000 in the bank...

What happens with pitstops? I've only done one endurance race and when on B-spec he's come into the pits on his own when the tyres were on their way out, but when he entered the pits it gave me a screen asking for the type of tyres, refuel? etc...I left it for a second to see if it would accept the defaults, but he seemed to sit waiting for a response.

The pitstop is automatic. It just refuels and pust on the same tyres that you selected at the beginning. They give you the option to make changes if you are observing the race (ie put softer compound tyres on the front as they arent wearing as quick as the back). So you're fine to just set it up and leave it to run until the finish. I normally check that it has overtaken all the other cars and is starting to pull away before walking away....

The only reason the black cars will be down on power is because they come from the used car bit and will need an oil change, once you've done that the power will match the new ones.

Ok, so I tried this last night. 24 Nurburgring. My driver pased all the other cars within the first quarter lap. By the first pit stop he was almost a lap ahead (hard fronts, super hard rears). The problem is that I leave it in x3 speed, but when he pits it puts it back in observe mode and real time. Is there away to avoid this? Also miffed that when I got up this morning he was still running, but somehow has managed to fall 4 laps down after completing 85.

unfortunately unless you change it back to x3 mode it will sit in normal.

Problem with the 'Ring is that its such a long lap, so if the car is say 50% through a lap and the tyres are knackered and you are pushing at say 4 or 5 then he'll come off at every other corner - hence will get over taken. What B-Spec points are you on? if it's below 4000 then your b-spec driver isnt very good so will be more prone to coming off and making mistakes....

Cheers, ill keep a lookout. Im only about day 300, 11.9% through so got a long way to go!

B Spec is v annoying in the way that it resets to realtime after every pit stop.

My method of winning races in B Spec is to push hard (5) until im at the front, and then switch to 3 for the remainder of the race. Seems to work ok. If the driver still loses I just lob a few quid at the car to gain a few more horsies! I do find though, that in A Spec I can usually achieve better results than B Spec, but i'm often too lazy!

Sorry
But where can I find capri rally. I lost all my data after completing all the liscences so am starting from scratch, should be an entertaining w/end.

Do you get that rally after a while or is it available from the off, I take it you need 4wd + special tyres.

Cheers
