I've been looking for a way to use my DFP whilst sat in my armchair.. can't use a desk and haven't got room for a funky chair+frame system.
I don't like the idea of the lap adaptor either.

Have scoured all the usual shops for a TV table or something .. can't find anything anywhere. Nesting tables will probably be too low.

Suggestions, PH massive?

Ironing board, side on.

You can mount the wheel on to it, it's height adjustable, your feet can go underneath with the pedals. Works a treat.

I found this table in a hardware store. I had no luck in IKEA / ARGOS etc.

Try an independant hardware / kitchenware shop.

How much is the wheel, just out of interest?

'bout £100 or thereabouts for the DFP, I picked up a second hand DF wheel, only has 180 degrees of lock as opposed to the 900 (?) afforded by the DFP but still does the job and turns the mulsanne into a serious workout!

Get one, you know it makes sense!

I went for the easy option and bought a £2.99 pine shelf from Homebase - bodged it together so that the support bits press into the seat cushion - perfect!
