Now all I need is a place to stick it.

Anyone got any suggestions, i.e. like a tv table that I can easily buy? I've looked at the Ikea website and couldn't find anything suitable, and I don't think the missus will be too chuffed at me spending more money on a seat (and not to mention how it'd ruin the look of the living room...)?

Help - I'm gagging to play with it! (ssh podie)

I think you're Wife would love a nice heavy glass topped coffee table, don't you?

Whatever you get it needs to be heavy, so the wheel doesn't move about.

Enjoy the wheel it's fantastic!!

The heavy glass topped coffee table is already holding the 28" (respect the old stylee) TV, speakers, and PS2 so thats out

I was thinking more 'foldaway' or indeed portable - but are we saying that we need a certain amount of er... stoutness???

I couldn't find anything at IKEA either. Ended up going to a small homeware shop that had a perfect little tv dinner table for £12.

It folds away, and once you've poked your legs through the middle, doesn't move a bit, even on the Le Mans straight. Job's a goodun

My first try would be Co-Op Concepts, MFI, Homebase, places like that.

The place I found it at was an independant little homeware store (kitchen utensils etc) if you've got anything like that near you...

Do Argos stock tv dinner tables? I can't remember if I looked in the Laminated Book Of Dreams, might be worth a shot.

Comments?

1st one is butt ugly. 2nd one v expensive.

You could always try a DIY option. See this thread on GTPlanet for cheap options: www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=55048

And this one: www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=58071 for the mack daddy.

Don't logitech do a strap for about £15 that allows you to mount it on your legs?

The original (non-900) Driving Force came with a "lap attachment". It's just a bit which bolts on to the bottom, allowing you to hold it between your legs. I found it a bit unstable with the DFP - a good table is far better.

that's right, the old one came with a lap attachment (which doesn't fit the new one ) And there's one available for the pro version, at an extra cost.

Besides, if you did grip it betwixt your legs, you'd need abductors of steel to hold the thing while you use all 900° of movement.

That's what some people said on GTPlanet, but mine doesn't fit. The notches in the lap attachment are wider apart than the clamps on the pro wheel.

I found a temporary mount for my wheel and pedals...

My cats scratching post/activity centre.

Although most put out that I had used the top part for the wheel, and the base (with grippy carpet) for the pedals, it did the job perfectly - although I could have done with the steering wheel higher and further back.

Picture to be posted later

I have found the perfect solution: an ironing board, side on.

It is height adjustable.
It has space underneath for the pedals.
The wheel attaches securely.

You, my man, are a genius.

We need a new ironing board, and the missus was moaning about the cat not having his scratching post.

Not that he ever uses it mind. Sofa seems to be his favourite...

I have my PS2 set up through my PC, so I have a nice stable table for my wheel but the real bonus is that the missus doesn't have a go at me for hogging the telly.

I was just looking at this earlier, but only found component to vga thingies at about £60.

Any other way of doing it?
