I just ran this race in B spec mode in my Jaguar Race car, I selected Hard tyres on the front and super hard on the back, Medium pace and 'overtake' on all the time.

I monitored the race once in a while but didn't change anything. 'I' ended up doing 422 laps and won the race by 20 seconds

Wow.. 20 seconds!
Did you do any pitstops or did you just leave "Pedro B-spec" to it for 24hrs?

I'm still around 15% so havent opened the endurance races yet. But I did a race meeting at the Ring with that Merc LeMans GTR race thing and had great fun doing laps with the Bentley, Audi, Nissan Le Mans cars.
So I need to unlock that last 10% instead of just doing laps of the ring

If I was around I would click 'ok' as he pitted to speed up the process a bit but he was coming in for fuel rather than tyres so there weren't many changes I needed to make really

At times the difference was about a lap either way between my co driver and one particularly troubling AI but it came down to 20 seconds at the end, it was heart stopping!

Imagine how pissed you would be if in the last hour you were only 20 seconds ahead and he ended up beating you. And not having bspeced any of it.

He paused it???
Coward, when my mate (who actually owns GT4, I don't) does it we're going to do it non-stop driving in stints (plus lots of red bull and beer no doubt).

Do it during pitstops and be quick about it then.

how does it work then when pit stops are needed? will it do it on its own or does the command have to be given?

It does one on its own at times.

If you just leave it to it's own devices, pitting when it feels the need, don't you end up running on an almost full tank all the time? (my tyres only last for a quarter of a tank, admittedly that's not on super-hards though)

You just answered your own question.

Even on superhard tyres though he still runs out of rubber before fuel but he can go a few more laps each time if i remember correctly.
