gt4 differing hp figures?

The bhp figure seems to deteriorate with use and there's nothing you seem to be able to do to boost it back up. My 523bhp Lancer is now down to 492bhp.

I seem to remember having a Vertigo race car in GT3 which peaked its bhp at around 700 miles use. It then went down until it levelled out at around 1000 miles.
I would guess GT4 would be similar?

i can understand that, i just dont understand why the figure is different, take my formula 1 car, on the garage screen it says that it has 904bhp, then when a replay loads up it will say something like 891bhp
brand new car, not modded, clean oil
i just dont get it!
When you say "clean oil" do you mean its in the state you purchased the car or do you perform an oil change as soon as you have brought the car?

I think ( and I don't know, just think ) that the figure shown on the replay screen is the bhp/tonne - I think that is also used to calculate how many a-spec points you get for a particular race so would indicate that is why they're showing it to you.
Could be right, my audi R8 is about 600hp and on the replay screen its over 700

its brand new oil, as i bought the car with, thing is it doesnt change with an f1 car as you cant change the oil, and on gt4 it appears that changing the oil on a new car doesnt do anything, i have changed the oil on many new cars and the hp doesnt go up!
