Arghh faffing PC!!!

Poxy game keeps freezing on the menu screens, I hate it already. Back to the eternal install/de-install malarky again. Even better, chuck the whole thing in the bin and back to play GT4. One button and thats it..I HATE PC's!!

Luckily I only paid 20£ for it after using my coupon from Autosport magazine

What is your PC spec? CPU? RAM? Graphis Card?

Have you the latest graphics drivers, directx too?

its a 2.8ghz 512ram with 128mb graphics card. It runs HalfLife2, MOH pacific assault etc.. quite happily with updates made 2 weeks ago to run HalfLife2.
So I dont get it?, I checked the websit and cant seem to find any patches that cover this. It basically freezes when going btw menupages, so everything on the page goes grey.

I am fed up with these poxy games that cant run cleanly on an average PC.

Don't give up yet - I had major issues with several games a couple of months ago, turned out to be a graphics card driver issue causing the card to overheat.

I also had major problems a few months ago and sorted it with a LARGE clean up on the pc. Defrag, registry cleanup, dead links etc. etc.. as all of a sudden nothing ran after installing MOHPA. Got it sorted and even HL2 could play no problems.

So after all the hype I got GTR today, only for the damn thing start acting up and freezing. Never even got to the online parts yet.

Oh well.. I've simmered down now and fished the PC out of the garden pond(luckily it broke its fall from the first floor window ) so will try again later..

I hate PCs too - at least PS2 games just go in and work, then another console comes out in a few years, so you buy that as a one-off upgrade instead of fiddling around with loads of parts that cause everything else to crash and nothing is ever backwards compatible either - so frustrating!

I installed GTR yesterday on my Games PC. It takes forever to load a track and is very jerky with crackling audio at the start.The graphics seem very poor when compared to GT4 I thought

I think it looks better than GT4 on a powerful system, most of the GT4 screenshots are in photo mode rather than in game..
