Bum and double bum...! I just finished the International A licence and after throwing the 190 Evo II off the Nordschleife abaout 25 times in the fist 15 corners I made it all the way round - absolutely giving it large even feathering it behind the pace car...!

What was my time...? 9:00.358. Big deal you say, BUT...

0.358s off a GOLD... AAAARGH...!!!

Oh well, I had great fun powersliding that Evo - what a car...!!!

It wasn't so much the all-golds, but it would have been nice to get one on the full Nurburgring Nordschleife in the IA licence. I think I only got one other gold in the IA.

off having a play in my mega Skyline now in the Professional Supercar Cup or some such. Great fun.

You can really take it easy for that Test.

I had the same problem you are having and then i went into grandad mode and played it really safe..I finished with 15 seconds to spare the first time I managed a complete lap.

The game tells you which gear you should be in and if you follow a fair racing line you shouldn't have too many problems.

Actually this feature can be a help or a hindrence. Just above the speedometer the game will give you the recommended gear number for that particular corner in red. I have noticed that it gives you warning of a few seconds. Then, when it is critical that you are in the given gear in order to take the proper racing line the red number will flash untill you pass the corner.

The flashing can be distracting though, diverting your concentration. Very similar infact to a gear change indicater in a GT car.

Of course it is possible to drive at a harder pace and still keep the line. I think it is a good way to learn the course and the joy of finishing a clean lap with a fast time is enough to make you punch the air with a triumphant " yes "; thus missing the next corner

It was very useful in GT3 when learning a new track, as the flashing basically meant "stand on the brakes until the flashings stops, and by then you'll be in this gear". What I've found with GT4 is that you can be approaching a corner in, say 5th, and a red '4' will appear, so you glance down and read it and set your expectations for the corner. You then look back at the corner in anticipation of the flashing starting. What you don't notice is that while the number is flashing, it decides to change from a '4' to a '2', and the corner turns out to be a whole lot tighter than you expected. Makes learning the twidly bit after the Karrousel (sp?) tricky.

Hahaha! Ditto. I just stand on the brakes when it flashes, but that was the limit of my knowledge on the subject.
