NOS on GT4

Is this worth it?

Doesn't seem to be a button to give you the boost for a burst do it must be a constant thing right?

Yet shows no power increase when you are going to buy it. What gives?

Its good for the short races. Nothing like blasting down the straights with some extra power. I buy it for all my cars.

It works off whatever you've set your "special" button to.

I haven't NOS'd any of mine in GT4, but I seem to recollect that there was a button on the controller labelled "boost" in the manual. I may be wrong, but have a look.

NOS is amazing. It's just perfect for giving you that bit extra on the straights.

It's only 5000 credits... not a lot in the grand scheme of things.

I find its great for pushing to the red line in top on the really long straights, some of my fastest cars are about 30mph faster with the NOS used on top end.

Just remember to go to settings and turn up the Power ratio (as opposed to time). Not that much differnence on how long it lasts but in some cars it can give you up to a 100bhp shot.

Don't NOS it coming out of corners!!!! It's quite fun
but does slow you down losing the rear end!!!

How many times can it be used though?

depends on how you set it up. either not much of boost but willlast alot, say 5-7 laps. but put it up full wack and it may only last 1-2 laps. But I got 210MHP in a speed 12 on short straights, where I would only get say 170 without Nos.

It feels like a cheat to me, though I always end up having to use it.
