GT4 rally stages (sorry, another gt4 thread...)

getting slightly frustrated with this. start behind the AI car, 3-2-1-go, set off, try going round the AI, it moves over for the corner and taps the front or the side of my car, 5 second penalty.
try an overtaking manouver up the inside of another corner, the AI moves over, taps the front again, 5 secong penalty.

why is it that the AI can smash me up the rear and carry on, but the smallest of taps when im behind results in a 5 second penalty?????

That shit drives me in crazy too. Why do they have the 5 sec penalty, its just stupid.

Because in the GT2/3 you could just use the escudo pikes peak with stupi amounts of horsepower and it was so fast you could just guide yourself around the courses using the barriers n not having to steer, i guess they did it to prevent doing the same in other equally high powered cars.

In my opinion, quite a good feature - forces you to drive better. Get a few more horses under the bonnet, get out in front and drive properly

I think it does add an extra difficulty to the rally stages. Very frustrating when the computer car hits you and you get the penalty, but it does make you overtake more cleanly.

I still win races with that feature, but, I mean, its a lot more fun to drive like a tt

Just barge in front take the penalty and keep wandering blocking him so he can't overtake.....easy!

i try that, but it doesn't work so easy on the snow and ice stages.

Throw it hugely sideways on the way into the corner so that you hit him with a rear corner - no penalty!

you get a penalty if ur going fast enough.

Just throw the rear end into the outside of the corner and kinda use it to guide u
