sorry

I think I've got about 4 silvers, but Gold in those test's is surely not achievable.
Or am I driving with the handbrake on ?

Its tricky but it can be done.

I dont have many though, it has to be said.

Theres a chap on here who wont advance until he has all golds on the licence tests. S2Gonzo maybe?

erm... not me. Got the licences on bronze* and happy with that to be honest. Can't be arsed with fighting for a gold.

*apart from the 1 lap of the ring in the Merc. Got silver on my first attempt (9:11.2) and VERY happy with that.

Yep, I can contest that I used to believe that Gold on license tests on GT3 was a joke....

until I saw it with my own eyes....

A chap at one of these games expos a few years ago could systematically get Gold on each and every (well the ones that I stuck around for) license test for GT3. Used some interesting tactics, but was just one of those people who are shockingly good....

Embarrasing really..... I seem to struggle with a consistent Bronze.... oh well bring on the Driving Force Pro.

I have got two golds so far. One in Nat B and One in Nat A. Agreed, golds are rock hard...

Only played about an hour and a half so far though so not bad.

First ever go on GT4 saw a 10m 05s lap of Nordschleife in a CTR. Thought that was quite good...!

You did leave the office early!!

Will you need any Red Bull sending round?

edited to say: Have you tried using the force? I used it a couple of times at the 'ring last night I did.

I got all silver in the National B licence.

Its easy enough if you keep trying each test. Some are harder than others but they are all doable if you can drive to a reasonable standard.

Gold on the otherhand, while im sure it is possible, seems unreachable to all but the god like few.

I may try to work up the National A licence in silver if I get the chance but ive settled with bronze on everything else (just about to start the special licence tests atm)

I'm the same, just settled for passing the bloody things. But am adamant to get a Gold on Ring in the DTM. all bronze bar about 20 silver odd, just dont like the tally saying 0 in Gold. I feel a failure.

I don't think its too hard to get all golds.

So far I've done all licenses to at least silver standard apart from the special license (which I haven't even tried)

I think I only need a couple of golds for all gold on national B, but its the 1 lap with safety car and they take ages.

Golds are really bloody hard. Ive only managed 4 of them, but they were on tests were i got really close to getting gold on my first go, so i kept trying.

What amazes me is how hard it is to get gold on the straight line accel/braking tests. I get bloody bronze on those.

The unatainability of golds seems to vary (for me at least). e.g. In the McLaren Merc round Trial Mountain I got within .25s of Gold on my very first attempt, but on some other tests of similar duration I'm comfortably inside the Bronze time, but still 4s off gold.

On national B, I have all gold apart from 3.
They are all possible, it just takes time.
Bet the later licences are much harder though.

I remember getting gold one on test in GT2 round Laguna Seca in the Viper by using the cunning method of jumping over the grass on the corkscrew rather than slowing down and going on the tarmac

It's possible to demolish the gold time (2-3 seconds under) on the capri course on S level by using a few underhand tactics in that sort of vein
