GT4. Should I, shouldn't I?

I am in two minds about buying the game and just wanted to know if it really is as good as you're all saying?

I've got to confess that I've never really been a huge fan of the Gran Turismo series. I tried to get into GT3 and Concept and found them a little dull and got bored very easily. I didn't feel like the racing involved me too much so after a handful of races quit playing them. My favourite part with the last one was watching the replays, full of the cars I've always wanted to own.

The pictures and tracks I've seen of the new one look amazing and are quite tempting but if I found the other games a bit boring will I find the same with this one, or is it much bigger and better?

the handling I find more interesting,choice of courses, realism.. but Im guessing its going to be similar throughout. ie seen it once, seen it 100 times..

If you prefer more variety for your buck then hang on a few months, they should be in the seconds bins at GAME etc.
