Thought it would be good to see our progress in terms of what car we are driving and what cars we are winning.

First car bought: Honda MK2 CRX VTEC 147BHP (see profile pic)

Cars won:
- AutoBianchi
- Nissan Cube Van
- VW Lupo 1.4i

(I'll update with correct names later).

I ported over 100,000 of my GT3 money, bought a Caterham, modded it up to 180bhp using all my money...

... then found out I couldn't race it until I got my "special" license doh

Currently using a Nismo 270 R tuned to just over 400bhp and a tuned NSX to get me through the basic races

So in what way is that "staring from Scratch"?

I got the 1.4 Lupo which I sold.
Bought an 91 Skyline 2.5, did a weight reduction and chipped it. Think it is about 180 BHP now.

Have just won the Sunday cup and got the AutoBianchi thinggy

they were the same price but the used wheels seem to be wheels directly of cars for example, a set of standard gold 5 spokes off an impreza or original beetle steel wheels with hubcaps!

In a very sad way I noticed that from the codes.

The ones that look like MX5 wheels are MA1234 (example)
BMW wheels BM1234 etc.

Quite a good idea really since they had to desgin the wheels anyway and it makes it another feature.

Only done the B licence and half the a-licence stuff before I got hooked on the Nurburgring in arcade mode. So I have a 1.4Lupo in my garage.
The dilemma now is tonight:

Go for top times round the ring in some different cars?

or

Try to make some progress through the game proper.

I refused to transfer my credits from GT3, ruins the purity for me - if you want to drive a cool car right now thats what arcade mode is for!

Yes mate - I won the 270 R using something shitty (can't remember what), I just completed one of the Jap championships and I now have a 350Z LM edition with over 600bhp... just about to take it down to the ring and I reckon I'm looking at a 7 min lap time

But you also ported over all your money from GT3! Thats not starting from scratch!

Im geussing you deleted it again?

I kind of started from scratch- I transfered two licences, but no money.

Bought a 200SX S13, Blitz cat-back & air filter plus stage 1 lightening.

Then went to the jap races (beginners innit) and got spanked. Won $300.

Just seen the beginners section...

My boyed-up S14 running about 260, nitrous, stage 2 lightening and sports suspension can just about hold on in the easiest Jap races (apart from where there is a straight), so I'm not surprised.

Sold the Lupo and the Autobianchi I won and also an OLD (60s) Skyline.

Started off with the 91 Celica GT with 4WS (whoooooo!) which was ahem, crap. Sold that and bought the 2hundy. Have won the Sunday Cup, FR and FF challenges and the series where you go against the Lotus Carltons and RS200. Just need the I-A licence now....

Have got that funny Nike thing, the Mazda 6 prototype and also another Mazda 6, both of which are crap and don't have a value so I presume you can use them in a special series (repmobile shootout on the Autumn Ring?)

For easy cash, go to Special Conditions and do the first pair of Costa Amalfi races against road intgrales (win both) and you win a prototype rally job that you can sell for 265,000.. repeat ad naseum..

Same situation as you TD. Got hooked on the ring.

I stacked the DB9 around there and got a few going on The Aston forum

www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=70&t=161803

Still got three left to do on my B licence.

Starting from scratch with a used Mazda MX5, that's now 2bhp better off with it's sports zorst. It's now running a quite phenomenal 122bhp. It's got a nice chav wing and some OZ wheels. No cheating here!

As per another thread I've just bought the wheel to go with the game.....now....we're cooking on gas mark 9!
