Possible problem with thrustmaster Tmx steering wheel

Just bought one today, it says it has a progressive braking pedal , but I can't feel any different in either resistance or stiffness? Anyone know what it should be like before I go back to the shop?

This could be a setting in game.

My wheel (not pedals, its a T150) has varying levels of feedback, im guessing its a set up option somewhere.
