I've only managed a 9min lap (so far) in the NSX Type R

I think a wee bit more practice is in order!

What a game though

Never been round the ring before at all. Tried a caterham fireblade and found myself changing up way too early (bloody bike engines! ).

will try and get a good time tonight, me thinks!

I actually found myself being a bit panicky taking the not-so-straight-or-flat sweepers at 140mph! To do it for real must be a big, big rush

Managed 6:31 with the Lister on Arcade mode - but I fell off hugely on the section before mini-Karrussel. There are huge chunks of time yet to find though.

Did the final licence test (with the DTM Merc) in 7:31.

WOW!!! Never driven the nurburgring, watched many vids. Got a good 15 or so laps in last night:-

Best times, all in standard spec (rounded to 0.5):

NSX-R - 8.06.5 LOVE THIS CAR, sounds wonderful but the high speed lift off oversteer is quite scary)
Skyline GTR - 8.11 Surprisingly slow down the straights, little twitchy @ high speeds but quite forgiving through the slower stuff.
TVR T350 - 8.01 Bit more understeer than I expected, gearing too short pretty stable otherwise. Good throttle adjustability

Agree with you Trackdemon about the NSX-R, it is absolutely superb!

I think I spent more time drifting than actually going in a straight line though!
The lift off oversteer was a bit hairy at first but as long as you nail the throttle as soon as it starts sliding you can hold it at ridiculous angles until your hearts content

Indeed but you must be super quick to get the lock off when it comes back lest you spin the other way. At 140mph+ :HEHE: Had one huge moment on my 8.06 through a very quick right hander towards the end of the lap, stepped out at 130mph and stayed there. I swear, time actually slowed down managed to catch it, drifted christ knows how far and exited full throttle pointing the right way - felt like it couldn't possibly have gone any faster.

11 mins dead - Manual Box
No Driver Aids
Road Tyres
In a Beige Volvo 240 GLT Estate

Love the sparks from the front bumper when you slam on the brakes at speed

and 11:52 my first lap of the Ring in the Honda S600

It's not fair as soon as I have a car which can do more than 130mph the back slips out on the fast corners and I fishtail into the armco

8:28.268 in a standard Elise 111R and i would say there is still room for a bit of improvement in there too.

will post up a few more times later on with my various other cars.
