...it was released today after 18months of delays....and I gotta say WOW!

I've just been taking a 1991 TVR V8s round the Nurburgring.

Might do it in an S-Type R in a mo...

There appears to be several hundred cars to choose from... including many classics as well as bang up to date.

Fancy racing a Volvo 240 Estate round Lacuna???

Or a 300SL round Tokyo?

Or a Dodge Charger...or a DB9...or T350 or Tuscan...or even an Jensen Interceptor!!!

Or even a Stratos on ice...a Cerbera Speed 6....

And perhaps finish off with a Maclaren F1.

I may not be around for a while...

Just done 9mins 4 secs round the Nurburgring in an S-Type R.

The Nurburgring is awesome on this...absolutely thundering straights and sharp turns...

Started a lap of the ring in a '49 Beetle, top speed 43mph, got bored. 10 year old son did the ring in an 'S' type in under ten, 1st go. The MINI on the gravel tracks is good, very controllable, not all over the shop.

Me & the boy have been 240DLT estate racing in the Swiss alps, very very good.

damnit, haven't got a PS2 or GT4 ... just entered a competition to win one tho!!

Might have to buy a lottery ticket at the weekend to see if I can fund one (and maybe a GT4 style garage for myself )

I want it bad, but I refuse to pay fifty dollars for a game. But I just may anyways...

Im currently in the process of deciding whether I should buy a PS2 purely for GT4. They seem to be fetching a premium on ebay atm though

Fifty dollars for a game of this quality is a bargain IMHO.

The amount of work and detail that has gone in is staggering.

hah, I bought my PS2 just for this game, and bought GT3 as a diversion.

Yup. The only reason I bought a PS2 was for GT3. And now I have the pleasure of playing GT4 too!

The girlfriend isn't best pleased though....I think she's expecting to see very little of me in the coming weeks! Miraculously she did manage to get me down the pub within three hours of getting the game!

That's still ten dollars cheaper than we're paying in the UK, if you take exchange rates into consideration.

You get everythingcheaper than we do in the US, just go out and get it!

If you only buy one driving game, make it ths one. NSX-R round the Nurburgring is a blast of epic proportions for a console. The ability to set the speed of the computer cars is a superb addition - time for some genuinely close racing.

Has anyone else found the 'auto-save' feature really annoying?...its now no longer possible to 'try out' mods on cars and go back to your previous save position if they're not up to scratch.....
Anyone found any workarounds to get round this?

Go in options and switch it off!

I also got the PS2 purely for GT4.
Infact I ordered the game before I even had the console!

A classic case of RTFM
