Various people are saying it has arrived etc etc.

But the real question is, is it any good? how does it compare to GT3 and to the likes of Gotham Racing 2 etc?

Its much better than GT3 an entirely new level of realism.

The physics engine is massively updated and a lot more real.

The car models are better, the track models are better.

You do NEED this game.

Added to which its HUGE. I reckon there is a good 18 months for the average gamer...

I know GT4 is at home as a mate's got his copy and he pre-ordered it from Play.com too.

Problem is I've got a very important essay due tomorrow so I'm forcing myself to stay in the library.

It's very, very good.

I know people will roll their eyes at this, but it's worth it for the 'Ring alone. I started with a Ruf BTR (a tad hairy), then the RS6 Avant and now I'm trying the Lister Storm GT car and my brain can barely keep up - it's brilliant.

Transfered the licences over, then did Int B, then got bored and went back to the 'Ring.

Well worth the purchase price. I was always slightly disappointed with GT3 (which always seemed really slow unless you had the most powerful cars), but this is superb.

And to top it all, I've been genuinely ill this week and had most of today off to get over it - working from home...

to be honest ive already kinda gotten bored of it. Nothing can match the excitement of real racing.

I've got it sitting at home waiting. I'm counting down the minutes to 6 o'clock

By all accounts it is a big improvement on GT3. The Driving Force Pro wheel is a must though.

Sales have been nuts. Amazon is completely out of stock too (1 to 2 weeks lead now). I'm glad I preordered.
I read on a forum that sales in Europe so far have been over 3 million units!

Popped into toysrus this morning, they had stacks of them on the shelf. Didnt realise you got the wi-fi wheel with it too. I dont like the wheel much, no matter what sensitivity you have it on, you see-saw all over the track, I prefer the regular controller personally.

My ten year old has been on it for a while this afternoon, he is chuffed that he went around the 'ring in under ten in an 'S' type, so now he reckons he's better than Clarkson

Currently he's racing his own shadow in pwigs car.
