PS2 and USB Flash devices

Is it possible to download cheats/memory card saves from the net to a USB Flash device and then load it into the PS2?

What does Gameshark and the like do? Does it include additional software that enables your PC and PS2 to talk to each other via USB cable or could I use a Flash Device instead.

Yes, but you need to have software to allow your PS2 to recognise the flash memory.

have to borrow someones software and give it a try with my USB Flash device. Don't see the point of paying for an overpriced 16Mb Flash device that I won't use......
