Whos getting GT4 on the 9th?

So who's getting in and who's getting or got the Driving Force Pro to go with?

After years of playing driving games I've finally decided to buy my first wheel

I think with 900* of movement it should be great, also can't wait to try it out with the GTR demo!

BTW my girlfriend keeps calling me sad for talking about the game and wanting the wheel to go with it. The other day she was talking to a couple of (Male)colleagues and the conversation moved onto video games. So she decided to tell them how sad I was and mentioned GT4 , at which point her plan backfired and they spend the rest of the break talking about GT4.

Well at least now she knows I'm not the only one

I'm probably going to try and steal myself to wait until tbe end of March. Really want to get the wheel, but feel annoyed.

I already have the previous model logitech wheel, and the bleedin' thing's feedback function stopped working.

Got mine ordered from gameplay after recommendations from PH.

Not bothering with the wheel as I prefer the analogue. When I use a wheel I tend to see saw from lock to lock when I go off track.

Roll on the 9th......

I just ordered my copy on Play.com too, and an anologue controller to replace my 3.5 yr old one. Wouldn't want to be blaming my controller for my crap times would I?

For those who have ordered with Play.com, will we actually get our copies on the 9th or the day after? I'm considering taking a couple of days off to play the game as I think I'd be useless at work if I were dying to get home to play the game...

I ordered mine from Dabs which I think goes through gameplay, and they promise to deliver of the release date

I pre-ordered Doom 3 from Games Planet and it came about 4 days after it was releasted

Apparently the 'Ring is available from day 1.

I've had it pre-ordered since June 2003!

So you could say that I'm quite looking forward to playing it, although it'll probably mean I fail 3rd year!

indeed... can't decide which to get, andcan't justify getting both at once!!

GTR is obviously the better simulator, and just drives much better... but GT4 has the painstakingly recreated 'ring, and variety of cars

(yes, I know the 'ring is available on GTR, but is it really going to be as accurate as the one in GT4, which was apparently detailed every 15cm!!!)

oh and also i ordered one of those logitech gt force wheels, also from amazon for 50 pounds.

couldnt stretch to £90 for the new one

Not in this version you can't. There is possibly a work around by fooling it into thinking there is a LAN game going on but that is it. They might be releasing a second version at some time but you'll have to pay for it again.
