Yes it is a bit annoying-they seemed to have wanted to add some variety.
On the plus side you can now cloak (but not for long)-on the downside ( and this is really stupid) alot of the levels you play as the alien are dark and you don't have a light anymore.
Stick with there are some very good levels later on-but also some crap ones that simply have to be endured.

I think there are places you simply have to hold out for a bit then a door unlocks etc. The biggest one is a lift where it goes up in stages and you just have to survive until it reaches the top-other than that I can't say.

Thats the bit that got me. Got quite lost in the early stages of this level so went back to Online play.
Will have to go back me thinks.
