have any of you fabricated any kind of mounting system for your wheel/pedal sets??

I'm thinking mainly for the PS2 here, as I have my DrivingForcePro clamped to the desk for GTR.. which works fine.. but there's nothing to clamp it to in the living room... and I'm not keen on the lap-attachment.

ideally it would have to be folding/collapsable for ease of storage, and so as to not piss off the other half too much

anybody done anything like this?

yes, I'm aware you can buy such contraptions.. but after just forking out £80 on a wheel, I don't want to be spending loads more...

The Logitech website lists the PlaySeat but it's £199 + the DFP

You could always build your own, howvever there is fine line between simulation enthusiam and the men in white coats arriving to take you away to a padded room .

I would suggest a visit here though - http://forum.rscnet.org/forumdisplay.php?f=814

definately on the sim enthusiasm side...

I basically can't use my wheel/pedals for the PS2, as there's nothing to clamp them to.. soI don't think I'm nuts for wanting to make something to suit..

I've got a TV card for my PC so I'm just going to rig my PS2 up to the PC and then play it on my monitor so that I can clamp my wheel to my desk, much better than pissing about on the sofa with a steering wheel.
