Doom 3 the final help needed!

Ok so i guess im at the end or near it, ive got this big dog like thing running around hell! and whispering voices saying destroy the seekers and the guardian will be vunerable ,

Im guessing the seekers are the flying things with lights on their heads ? ive killed a lot to no avail am i doing the right thing , shooting the dog doesnt count as hits but the more i kill the light things the more they keep coming!

please help! just want to get to the end of this game!

What you need to do is kill all the seekers, and before they regenerate, shoot the dog thing. It is only vunerable whem there are no seekers.

Kill the seekers with the plasmagun, and when the moster opens up blast the light source with rocket launchers.

From memory, I'd say you're about halfway through. The other advice on this thread is correct. You have to do this several times: kill all of the seekers and then let rip at the Guardian (the dog thing) when the light appears on its back.

The dog thing turned out to be about 85% of the way through !

Thought the last bit would be harder than it was!

Now what any suggestions on a another game like it, ie first person shooter any ideas welcomed?

Half Life 2 or Far Cry. Found both of them more enjoyable than Doom 3.

You could wait till Resurrection of Evil comes out later this year...
