What is so different about the German version that it takes another 3 months to finish the UK version?!

The same day as GT4? Commercial suicide, they should have released it last November when it was ready!

I know it's a PC and Xbox game, but still.

German one has been out since November.......maybe I shouldn't have said that.

I think it has been getting an International publisher that's taken the time as far as I can tell. Maybe some new cars/tracks included with the release too, which will also be downloadable for those already running the game.

GT4 is PS2, or did you mean GTR is on both PC and XBox?

while I'm not usually squeamish about such things... this is one I WANT to buy...

it's an awesome product, probably the best there is (I don't like 60's GP cars!), and it's from a tiny developer, with no big publisher support.. they deserve every penny they get from retail, and I intend to give them £40 worth.




P.S. If I had broadband I'd be downloading it now just because I'm chomping at the bit, and then buy it at release anyway.

Anybody know if this is as open-source as we might like?

specifically, is it possible for the mod community to make their own cars for it?

would really fancy taking a caterham/griffith/RX7 round the ring with the kind of realism that GTR provides!!

obviously you'd need quite a bit of technical data on each car, judging by the intracacies(sp?) of the suspension setup available.. but it'd be great if you could put your own car in it wouldn't it!?!?!

At the moment tracks are being added by the community along with re-skinned cars. No new cars yet, a BMW M3GT (the one with the V8 engine) was created by a 3rd party but pulled by Simbin, probably as they are developing the add-on cars for now which may form part of the international release or future add-ons. Simbin were the mod team who created add-ons for F12002 so they know a thing about it.

Where can I gt the language pack? I might give the German version a go while waiting for the UK launch. Particularly since I've just ordered a trackIR Pro

Patch 1.2.3
English Translation 1.4
Enlgish Translation 1.4 fix (extra bit missed off last one)
Realistic Brighter headlights
GTR English Pits sounds (pits to car radio samples)

new demo sounds amazing.. will be getting that first thing monday (will have to use works ADSL)...

do hope 3rd party cars arrive at some point... really I'm interested in getting some road cars in to use those awesome physics..

..and I really need to get round to ordering that wheel!
