I've been a bit slow on the uptake

You'll laugh at me for this.
I've just discovered my PS2!
I don't mean I've just found it but I've just got into it. After originally owning a PS and then buying a PS2 2 years ago, I've only just started to use it properly.
With all the recent talk about GT4, I felt that I needed to get into my GT3 and get some use out of it before I go out and spend more hard earned on something that would normally sit redundant in the corner of the room.
Now, its not the first time I've played it. I plugged it in when I first bought it and had a couple of sessions in arcade mode, razzing round some mountain in a specced up NSX GT car. Great.
The problem with me is I get bored easily and after a few laps in various cars on various circuits, the disk was extracted, boxed and abandoned.
So here I am, a year or two on, prompted by you guys to get into the game.
I plugged it in on Sunday and got to grips with my boggo MX-5 and let rip. Well, blow me away, I've now won some cups, taken some tests, earned some dough and won some more cars!
Yeah, yeah, so I'm at the level you lot were at before the Iraq conflict started. So what? I've discovered the joys of hassle free, Gatso free hooliganism.
What a game!!!
The last time I had this much fun on a machine, I was playing Pitstop2 on the C64!
At this rate, I'll be looking forward to purchasing GT4 by 2010. Roll on......

At least you had your PS2 before the Iraq war - I only bought mine a couple of weeks ago to give me something else (!) to do with my hands now I've given up smoking!
I just hope they keep delaying GT4 until I finally get my hands on the Panoz!
But then I guess I'm in a minority of one on that one...

It's taken me over two years (on and off) to get the Panoz. All I can say is it's well worth it. Keep the power to sensible levels, i.e under 800bhp, and it's simply brilliant. I spent all last night drifting it around the wet version of SS Route 5. They've got the noise more or less right too
