GPL Help!

After finally getting the broadband sorted I'm ready for GPL online

I've installed the updated patches for GPL which all works fine.

THen I installed VROC. Each time I join a race I get to the the GPL screen which tries to connect....and the PC freezes.

If I try and host a game the same thing happens?

Any pointers you can give me?

Have you opened ports on your firewall to allow vroc to connect to the outside world?

Do you have a firewall? If so which one?

I disabled the firewall (zonelabs zonealarm) and managed to join a game. Well, it was only me on the track!
So it would seem that the firewall is the issue.

How do I get the SOCKS settings so that i can put them into WinVROCs settings? If thats what I need?

I think you either need a registered Zone Alarm Pro to allow Vroc to connect through it or turn it off when you use Vroc (probably best).

I'm back from my travels and I'm ready to get some practice in! Finally tried without any of the driver aids. Very difficult to start with but much more rewarding and I also managed to clip 2.5 seconds off my previous fastest lap

If there's anyone interested in a blast around Monza let me know.
