February is the latest I've heard.

Whether or not it's worth the wait is fairly subjective. There's a thread running here, of someone who'c got hold of an Asian copy.

I've heard that major suppliers are quoting 25th Feb.

Of course its worth it - it has the Nordschleiffe (sp?) in all its glory with yumps and bumps in all the right places. Best simulation out there and a fantastic way to get acquainted with the worlds most hardcore circuit.

I don't even own a ps2 but will be buying one solely for this game.

25th of February so I'm told, but US buyers have been told it'll be more like the 25th of March. Doesn't bode well...

I don't think we're getting the on-line feature either.

AFAIK the online thing has been dropped, you can only play over a LAN.

Although there is a bit of software you can use to fool the PS2 into thinking it's on a LAN, when it's really on t'internet.

That would make sense. To be honest, I've given up trying to figure out what's happening. When it's in the shops, with "playable online" on the back, then I'll believe it!

Sony Europe currently have the UK lauch as Feb 2005, with no specific date.

Its been that since the start of the year when the press adverts started to appear (current issue of Evo for example)

I think the European release date is offically 25th Feb (got this from gtplanet) and you can be sure it'll be pretty much identical to the Asian version. The delay is most likely down to fixing the little bugs that have appeared in the Asian versions and burning enough copies to sell on release day.

I can't think there is anyway they would put on-line mode in, i doubt even 2 player memory car battles will be included

I wouldn't even hold out too much hope for more European or American cars!

Still it's got the ring and better physics

the sony website Here still states feb 2005 as the release date

The press release i received last week states on release from 11th March. So it's a toss up. Either Sony have told people to put a date further ahead, or they're lying on their website (or haven't updated it yet!)

I read 8th March. NTSC copies already available on Ebay.
