1) Houses, is there benefit from buying them, other than having multiple save spots?

2) The $ dollar sign appeared on my driveway, and gives me cash... whats this for? It appeared after I won a few gang wars

3) Sex Appeal... went way up when riding my nice car, went way down after I garaged it. Will Sex appeal go up a little and stay up a little the more I use my car (on dates etc)?

4) Dating... how many bloody dates do you have to go on before you shag the birds (heard that one before ay chaps )

5) I want to focus on gangwars... is dating a constant thing, or do girls come and go with patches in between?

1) You have to buy certain things (e.g. airfield, Wang Autos) to proceed with the game. Also need a large amount of the other property to get 100%

2) It's because you control certain territory. More territory = more cash at Grove Street. Other places also generate cash (e.g. airfield)

3) Sex appeal depends on the car, your clothes, how many oysters you have collected etc. etc.

4) Haven't found out yet! Although you do shag one on the first date (in 3rd city and you need a gimp suit and dildo to date her)

5) Don't do the gang wars until you have done the "Return to Grove Street" mission (late on in the game after the 3rd city is complete) - when you move on to 2nd / 3rd city all your territory is lost and you have to win it back again later.

Do houses/property generate cash, and should I buy them now... would like to achieve 100% but dont want to have to buy them back later.

No not really. I wouldnt bother with houses at this stage, but later in the game when you have loads of money they are handy to use as save points.

IIRC you do need them all for 100%, but are you really going to try and find all the horseshoes/photos/oysters etc etc.

I have loads of money now, more than I need (40k or so, gangwar ownership of territory brings in loads of cash)

So then, if I buy properties now, I wont have to buy them back later?

Another question... how much harder do missions get, later in the game. Ive had a few tricky missions which take 2-3 tries to win so far.

Can I steal a helicopter to play with yet? Im guessing not...

Why are the missions in the hills a pain?

you don't have to buy the properties back. Once you've bought them, they're yours for good.

Tricky missions pop up every now and again, I haven't really noticed them getting harder and harder as the game progressed.

btw, don't get stressed if you can't get past the 'Zero' missions, they're not essential to the game's progress.

if your on the second island then yes. just go to the 2nd airport park the car next to the gatehouse and climb over the roof. there is a chopper in the airfield you can steal ( there are others but all locked keep trying them)

i was building up flying time and cash by stealing the chopper flying back to the grove, picking up guns and cash, choppering back to the first airport, stealing the dodo and flying it back to the second airport and starting all over again..

all was going fine untill i got the dreaded disk read error

As has been mentioned, there's one in the second island's airport. If you don't want to bother clambering on the roof of a car, there's a bi-plane parked on top of a hill near the airport (sort of South East of it), which you can fly into the airport. You may be able to bail out of the plane, and parachute to earth (circle opens the chute, traingle bails), but make sure you've got enough height! Not sure if you get to parachute until you're 'supposed' to be flying, tho'.

If you look at the map, there's a hill with a dirt track that circles around, before ending in a short rectangle. The bi-plane's there. There's also a sniper rifle in the shed next to it.

Edited to add:

click here for the pic!, as they don't seem to allow me to drop the thing into the post.

It's just above and to the left of the F of the "Flint County" text. A curvy road, ending in a box.

Getting gang members around... I can now recruit 5 gand members which is fun... trouble is I can only fit 3 in a car.

Are there any vehicles which take more people? I think i remember seeing a limo around town :scratchcin:

How many people can come with you in the helicopter when you get it, and what is the maximum number of gang members one can recruit?

Not sure that I've seen anything bigger than the stretch, although there was a coach in the previous game.

I'm up to 7 gang members allowed, and the respect meter seems nearly full...

I've seen a coach in this one too, but I've never bothered with carrying gang members around - they keep shooting me in the back, or getting in my line of fire I find...

The copper'll carry 4 I think - I've definately had 3 in it. I think 2 front, 2 back like the cars.

Finished the final mission last night - it's a tough one! I died right at the end with about 30-seconds shooting left Fortunately you re-start the mission from the last section anyway so don't reload and try the whole thing again if you fail towards the end!

Thank fk for that, I've been trying the "air raid" one for a few days now and it's 'kin imposible

The only thing is, I can't find any other missions to do

Done the Jizzy ones, the Woosie ones, and the Tenpinney assasination, got my driving licence (no flying one though)I thought Zero was going to be the only way forward

Any ideas ?

You might be at the point where you have to purchase Wang Motors. This opens up more missions based at your garage. In fact, there might be more missions there already. I seem to recall that the red marker appeared there but nothing was showing on the map.

That sounds right. I remember the Wang Cars asset coming available after getting the driving licence.
