Racing Wheels ?

Unfortunately you can't get a MOMO for the PS2.
These are the PS2 wheels - www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/productlist/GB/EN,crid=2249

Aha.... thought I'd read it somewhere ages ago...
www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=89036&f=108&h=0&hw=momo
seems both work with both..

I think that would be the Logitech Driving force wheel that Stig has. It look very similar to the PC driving force wheel so must share the same things. I wouldn't have thought a Momo Force works on a PS2 though, but check Google, it might be mentioned on a games forum somewhere if the question has been asked before.
googled it, and found this:

Momo is compatible with both PC and PS2! Yepeeee!!

I know the black MOMO wheel works on PS2... I think the rest of the PC USB Logitech wheels do too.
Can be a bit of a fiddle though as they don't have d-pads like the PS2 wheels, so navigating the menus can be a pain (use a pad instead) and they don't have the buttons marked so finding which button on the wheel maps to which PS2 button is a pretty random affair (I think it can vary between games too).
If you get recent drivers from Logitech, the reverse is also true and you can use their PS2 wheels on PC.
The new GT4 wheel is the one that has the longer lock - lock, but the software has to support that mode otherwise it behaves like a 'normal' gaming wheel.

There's a really cool racing wheel with a rally type seat and all the pedals, but it's something like 170 quid.
I want one of these

TGMagazine recommends in the December '04 issue The Ultimate Indoor Race Simulator. It's compatible with the PS2, Xbox, PC and Game Cube and can be found at www.gameracer.co.uk
A bit pricey though

Look here and it will tell you exactly which games the MOMO Racing (black MOMO wheel) works with on PS2 and which it does not.

Open up the 'wheels' and then 'game specific information' books on the left and choose the game you want. I just checked GT3 and it says the MOMO Racing wheel DOES NOT WORK with GT3, which surprised me as I've implemented Logitech wheel support on PS2 and it behaved exactly as a GT Force wheel... Perhaps it didn't with earlier versions of Logitech's USB support.

I've got the Logitech Driving Force Pro wheel and pedals; works great, 900 degree rotation, "official steering wheel of Gran Turisimo 4". Definitely works with GT3 and GT4 on PS2 and as it's USB also works on PC (tested with CMR).

The Driving Force Pro might be the best bet, it works on the PC and cos its a PS2 wheel it works properly on PS2. I've tried one back to back with the black MOMO wheel and while I still prefer the MOMO, it was a close run thing. The pedals are similar to the MOMO and vastly better than the old Driving Force / GT Force ones, although some people say all the Logitech pedals are rubbish. The action of the wheel is also very similar to the MOMO one and both wheels are rubber rather than the plastic of the earlier PS2 wheels. I thought the MOMO was still nicer to hold though. The 900 degree rotation thing is interesting, I'm reserving judgement on it because I didn't get to try it on anything that supports it properly. I'm glad you can turn it off though. Probably an idea to see if you can try one somewhere.
Reading the forum on the wingmanteam site, it appears that neither of the MOMO wheels work in GT4 Prologue, don't know if thats changed in the final version though.
