I have a Linksys WiFi ADSL modem/router connected by cable to my pc and a wireless PC card for my laptop and a wireless router for my xbox. As long as the modem is on, you can use xbox live. This takes about 1-2 hours to set up including security.

Let me know if you need any more info.

My son has his hard wired with Cat5 cable to a Zoom X4 ADSL Router/Modem which is also connected by USB cable to the PC. I couldn't find a wireless system 'recommended' for 'X-Box Live' so I chickened out. My computer friend also warned that over distance the wireless connection might suffer so I played safe with the cabling.

When you're on look out for him: 'Luego'
He plays crazy games of PGR2, but at the moment it's all Halo 2, of course.

My setup isn't 'recommended' but I don't care. It is only about 20 ft away so the signal strength isn't an isssue, I just didn't want to fill the house with holes as I'm prone to do when I get a drill in my hands........ "Oh, I wonder if this drill will go through this piece of furniture"

That always gets me into trouble

I have a duct down the centre of the house that comes in handy for such things, otherwise I think I'd have risked the wireless myself!!
