Quite a few people in the Games Forum play Desert Combat, I used to but haven't had time for a while.

I have both, and neither took kindly to coming second to a game... Haven't played it for a while now.

Agreed.

It's an awesome game, and it's hard to find any cheating going on online now because of the Punkbuster in the latest patches. Unfotunately, this game's taken a back seat to Rome: Total War for me.

If you haven't got hold of it already, Battlefield: Vietnam is well worth a look (a 1942 patch is also now available from the ElectronicArts website).

Far too easy to become engrossed and stay up half the night! It's just gutting knowing that a bunch of 13 years olds are running rings around you!!
