New simulation: GTR - For those without PS2!
Discussion
Just came across a demo for 'GTR', the official game for the FIA GT race series.
It claims to be 'the most authentic racing simulation ever'. I was sceptical, but you know what? It might be. I was pleasantly surprised.
Usually the 'official game of X' stuff is just a money maker, not a great game (excluding Nascar Racing), but in this case that isn't true.
For anyone who ever played Sports Car GT, it seems to be loosely related to that (certainly in the slightly tricky menu system).
There's a demo giving you a full race weekend at the wonderful Spa with a Morgan Aero 8 or some other thing here Demo Download - the Electronic Arts.de server was super quick for me - and don't worry about the 220mb size, it's worth it! I've just been enjoying lap after lap of empty track practice.
Best bit: It's British made and when you have a big accident, a gentlemanly fellow comes on the radio and says 'Are you OK in there, old bean?' or something similar.
