If they stick to that date, how many months in total has it been delayed?

I seem to remember Xmas 02 being on the cards?

Thank God for that - I've just bought GTA SA and I'm only 4% through it! Plus I've also got Colin McRay as well.

It would be a busy bloody Christmas otherwise........

Well, mine's been on order from Amazon since May 25th 2003. On the 'order details' page, it lists an expected delivery date of Dec 29th 2003 - maybe that was the original release date? If they do hit February 6th, then it's only () 13 and a bit months late.

so,when do you recon it will ACTUALLY be released then?......summer/autumn next year???

the only reason i havnt got rid of my ps2 yet is because i have been waiting for gt4 to come out.....now im just getting pissed off with all the bloody change of release dates and quite frankly i could use the money from selling the ps2 and the games to sort out my mk2 cortina and then i can just wait for the ps3 to be released as maybe gt4 will be available by then!

(i wont hold my breath though!)

when it is released i hope its not as-bigger dissapointment as driver 3,it was a waste of time waiting for that lame donkey of a game!....best bit was 'free ride',the actual game side of things was crap!

What's the betting it finally gets released as a PS/3 game rather than a PS/2 game?

Hmm, no idea why this has happened (seeing as it has already gone gold) but GT4 has now been delayed in Japan until December 28th...

http://watch.impress.co.jp/game/docs/20041118/gt4.htm

I think they may have either had a problem with the initial batch of discs and have had to repress them or there was a bug found within the game and they've had to fix it.

Anyway, it's also been delayed in the US too until early 2005...

I don't believe any of these excuses - especially not from from the supposedly efficient Japanese. I don't doubt that it'll be a great game, but there's something very fishy about a delay so close to the release.

The "localisation issues" are slighly dubious, too.

It's all PR spin to keep us interested, obviously, but my interest has all but petered out. Only wanted it for the Nordschliefe, but I understand that track appears on something called Project Gotham Racing on XBox, so I suppose I'll have to get a 2nd hand one of those instead...

Sounds familiar - Mrs Dai Capp secured said Xbox with PGR2 yesterday for me for Christmas (very organised).

Really only wanted GT4 for Nordschliefe so come 25 Dec I'll be hooning around it in a virtual world thanks to PGR2. (That's assuming the cheat code to unlock it works - otherwise I believe it takes a bit of getting to!)

Cheers

Oooh, it's got Nurburgring, Trial Mountain and the Paris track.

Editted to say:

Cars are: 500bhp Skyline, road going skyline, road going RX8, old RX7, and old MR2 (80's wedge)
