TOCA Race Driver 2

Toca Race driver 2 is out for the ps2 and pretty good too, might keep me occupied until gt4 comes out...
Anyway to the point it has online net play. Any of you face getting together for an evening of racing??
The formula fords are ace!!!

I've never played a console game online yet. Apart from the networking kit, do you need to subscribe to a service for PS2 games?

No money involved just sign up and store to info on your memory card.
Excellent fun, I've just got into it since broadband arrived in our area. Best with a head set so you can chat or shout abuse at the german who has just clipped your back end and sent you spinning off into the gravel!!!!
I makes me realize how crap I am at gaming though, most of the games I've tried online are full of kids but TOCA 2 seems to be for the older gamer like me!!

Don't get me wrong It's not a patch on what GT4 will be, but the online content is good, I tried Colin Mcrash snd burnout 3 before this and it's much better.

I was absolutely slaughtered. Got off to a good start in one of the races, but the leading two were taking corners as if they were on rails. Is there any cheating going on?

I don't think there is any cheating because I have been up in the lead for a while!!
In the lobby you can change your car settings, if the host allows it, after change car and team it will go to settings but this defaults back after every race so it's worth building up a save of each car..Formula fords are great but the slightest touch will damage a car, saloons seem to hold out longer. You can't be any worse than me by score has dropped to 1350 !!

Just to confirm that I got the game on Friday........been on it all weekend. Had a quick go online but was promptly pasted so I'll need a few more days of practise before a PH session.
Oh and it's bloody fantastic with the 900° wheel.

Picked a copy up saturday, but Im dissapointed so far, ok the game play is fun, but im 46% through already. And come first in every race.

I dont have online, so Im going to get bored of this game pretty quick.

Ive had the game for about 2-3 weeks now, its a fantastic game, especially the online mode! ive only just got upto unlocking the gt lights in the game (which are fantastic to drive) and can soon set up a PH race online one night if anyone is interested? just set a day and we can sort it. friday might be a good day? say from about 7-8pm?
