My colleague just popped out to get us a copy each. Said that at 9 am there was a queue outside Argos of teenage boys and girls with their parents in one hand and pre filled in number slip in the other! It was sold out by 5 past.

I want to be at home with my PS2 right now. Stupid work.

Mine has just dropped through the door courtesy of Amazon. Sometimes not having a job has it's advantages... OK, maybe not!

Amazon gave me a delivery date of the 1/2 Nov, so I just cancelled the order and went down to PC (Ripoff) World and bought a copy. TBH I dont mind paying a little extra just to get a fricking copy, poxy Amazon!!!

well been playing it for most of today...

and it is BLOODY BRILLIANT!!

people have said that it's much the same graphically.. absolute rubbish!

the cars are massivley higher res than before, and the weather effects are now superb.. the rain/mist reminds me of Silent Hill 3... many other improvements too.. beautiful sunsets are one.. list goes on...

some awesome cars in it too, with lovely burbly V8's

simply enormous environment, with excellent countryside parts, grass fields, forrests, etc etc.

I made a swim across the lake/river, and managed to get as far as the dam before the cops finally pinned me down.. but that part of the environment looks awesome too... now have to make a dash for mount chilliad, and see if I can find a quad-bike before I get killed!!

VERY VERY IMPRESSED!! (although my girlfriend isn't.. doesn't appreciate not being able to watch tv you see...)

P.S. For those that don't know, you have to unlock the other parts of the environment.. so as soon as you set foot on them (bridges are al blocked, so you have to swim for it), the cops hunt you down VERY fast!.... and yes, I even made it to a spray-shop on one of the other islands, but your wanted level returns as soon as the spray-shop door opens!!

2 player mode is superb fun.

yup, 2 player mode is available if youve completed the first mission for the cop (voiced by Samuel L Jackson).

One person drives, the other hangs out the window and shoots if ya like. . . . . like I said, great fun.

Haven't recieved my copy yet. Have played it at a mates house. I urge anyone with even the slightest interest in gaming to go and buy it. The only word that describes it is 'awesome' They have thought of practically everything. I really can't see how they can top this, on PS2 at least

Yep, great game.

I felt lost at first because the whole map/area is just so feckin' huge.

Just need to complete it before the Getaway is released in 9 days.

I bought it yesterday, along with a PS2, so haven't had chance to do much on it yet. The scale of the game is awesome, but my first experience of the GTA games was Vice City on my xbox so I'm not totally impressed with the graphics. I'm sure I'll get used to it.
